I still remember the first time I saw it. It at the theater located at the Puente Hills Mall. Which, of course, is the "Twin Pines Mall" at the beginning and end of the movie.
This is one of those movies like Goodfellas that, once you come across it on TV, you HAVE to watch the rest.

Substitute Lays/Ruffles with a 40 and and a bong rip and Back to the Future with any movie staring Nautica Thorn, and I'm right there with you.
Speaking of the Puente Hills Mall, last time I was there I think I saw Nautica Thorn.
